Hi there,

i am Dirk Apel, an Interface- and UX-Designer from Bavaria, Germany. I studied Interface-Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, Germany and am currently working to realize InstantKarma, a concept for a mobile-application putting a twist on online-dating as we know it and my graduation-project. The projects during my studies taught me how to realize new ideas from rough early concepts through design & evaluation to development. Creating new ideas and understanding the target-audience on an empathic level is the most enjoyable and positively challenging part of my work to me.

In addition to my studies i have been working for Siemens Healthcare as an Usability-Engineer over the past three years. My work on Siemens MRI’s included requirement-analyses, concept-creation according to the results of customer interviews and market research, evaluation and optimization of prototypes as well as supporting development regarding their implementation.
